• Mr. Edwards' Homecoming - Charles finds Mr. Edwards drunk in a saloon and convinces him to come to Walnut Grove.
• The Love of Johnny Johnson - Laura has a crush on student Johnny Johnson, who's actually interested in Mary.
• If I Should Wake Before I Die - Feeling ignored by her family, Amy Hearn stages her own death with the help of Charles and Doctor Baker.
• Town Party, Country Party - Laura makes a new friend, Olga Nordstrom.
• Ma's Holiday - Charles and Caroline take a holiday and Mr. Edwards watches the girls.
• School Mom - After Miss Beadle is injured, Caroline teaches at the school.
• The Raccoon - Laura breaks her glass doll so Mary brings her a pet raccoon to cheer her up.
• The Voice of Tinker Jones - With the help of the children in Walnut Grove, Tinker Jones makes a bell for the church.
• The Award - Mary wants to win the dictionary given for an exam at school.

• The Lord is My Shepherd (Part 2) - After Laura refuses to pray for Charles Jr., the baby dies and Laura blames herself, so she runs away.
• Christmas at Plum Creek - The Ingalls prepare for Christmas.
• Family Quarrel - Harriet and Nels Oleson after repeated arguments separate, but eventually get back together.
• Doctor's Lady - Doctor Baker proceeds to court Harriet's niece, Kate but comes to terms that he is much to old for her.
• Circus Man - William O'Hara stays with the Ingalls in Plum Creek for a time.
• Plague - Walnut Grove is stuck by an outbreak of typhus and Charles must find the source.
• Child of Pain - Charles helps a man to get over his alcoholism while his son stays with Caroline and the girls in the little house.
• Money Crop - Joseph Coulter convinces the farmers to buy hybrid corn; when he doesn't show up with their earnings they think that he stole it, until Charles finds him.
• Survival - The Ingalls return from a family trip and must take shelter in a abandoned cabin from a blizzard.
• To See the World - Johnny Johnson has a fight with his father and leaves to "see the world".
• Founder's Day - Walnut Grove has it's annual founders day celebration and picnic.
