Little House Book Series

The Little House Book Series is a series of children's books written by Laura Ingalls Wilder, based on her childhood. In total, there are nine books written by Wilder, each of them is illustrated by Garth Williams. Ed Friendly bought the rights to the books and later the television series Little House on the Prairie was created by Michael Landon. Even though the general idea for Little House on the Prairie came from Wilder's books, most of the characters and plots on the show were much different than the original books.
