Little House Musical Will Hit the Road in 2009
Since the Little House Musical has been such a success, in 2009, it will start touring. Here's the article from Playbill.com:
| A touring production of Little House on the Prairie, the new musical that is breaking box-office records at the Guthrie Theater, is already in the works.
Producer Ben Sprecher confirmed to Playbill.com that a 40-city tour of the new musical based on the beloved series of books will kick off in fall 2009. No cities or venues have been announced. The big question, of course, is whether Little House will wend its way to Broadway. Sprecher said a decision about a Broadway transfer will be made following the official opening at the Guthrie, which is scheduled for Aug. 15. Sprecher said he and the producing team are keeping all of their options open. |
