These Happy Golden Years is the eighth book written by Laura Ingalls Wilder. It was published in 1943 and illustrated by Garth Williams.

This book is based on Laura's teenhood spent near De Smet, South Dakota, in the late 19th Century, and focuses on Laura's short time spent as a teacher and her courtship with her future husband, Almanzo Wilder.
