Victor French (December 4, 1934 - June 15, 1989) was an American actor who was born in Santa Barbara, California, he played the character Mr. Edwards on Little House on the Prairie. French was also the costar of Highway to Heaven, which was also a show created by Michael Landon. His father, Ted French was also an actor.

In 1998, French was inducted into the Western Performers Hall of Fame at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Other than Little House, Victor French played a recurring role on Gunsmoke and Get Smart, as Agent 44, an undercover spy who showed up in the most unlikely of places.
